The Rotary Foundation Seminar:
Was held on 28th November, 2009 at Rotary Sadan
RRFC Yash Pal Das was the Chief Guest and ARRFC Rtn Ravi Sehgal was present as Guest of Honour. It was a very informative and well planned programme and it was joy for ever to hear such an eminent speaker pair like Rtn Yashpal and Rtn Ravi.

We have sponsored tuition fees of one very needy Class 7 girl student from Khalsa English High School. Her fees Rs 1460 upto November, 09 was sponsored by President Rtn Kuldip.

Minutes of the 749th Weekly Regular Club Meeting held on Tuesday, the 17th November, 2009 at the Metropole 174, Sarat Bose Road, Calcutta-29 at 6.30 P.M.

President, Rtn Kuldip Singh Virdi:

• called the 749th Regular Meeting to order.
• National Anthem was sung by all members led by Rtn Tripti Dutta..
• welcomed Dr Binayak Deb, guest of our Rtn Tarun.
• requested Shri Gobindo Koyal, President RCC Khandalia to speak about Thelesemia awareness programme to be held on 5th December near Khandalia for free check and detection of Thelesemia, about 100-125 persons at RCC Khandalia. We assured him that for printing flexi banners with Thelesemia awareness information, our club will sponsor Rs 2000 and we will also visit the camp.
• while we were discussing our Community Service Projects like Heart to Heart and IOL at Murshidabad, our guest Dr Binayak Deb was very kind enough to inform the members about alarming situation of Cardiac problem which is coming in our lives as an epidemic. There should be awareness programmes to be conducted by organizations like Rotary for creating awareness among our community to take proper care and to undergo prevention measures in time. It was highly appreciated by all members present.

• informed that the next regular club meeting will be held on Sunday, the 29th November, 2009 at 11.30 A.M. at the residence of PP Rtn Pulak Mokherjee to be followed by Board Meeting and fellowship Lunch.
