MINUTES OF THE 807th REGULAR WEEKLY MEETING OF THE ROTARY CLUB OF CALCUTTA SOUTH CITY HELD ON TUESDAY 1st FEBRUARY 2011 AT 7:00 PM AT HOTEL
METROPOLE, 174, SARAT BOSE ROAD, KOL
♦ President Sanjay Kumar Kanodia called the 807th regular weekly meeting to order.
♦ He expressed warm welcome to Club Members & guest.
♦ He requested every one to rise for the National Anthem of India led by Rtn Debasish Maitra.
♦ The Minutes of the 806th meeting were confirmed unanimously by the members present.
♦ President Sanjay expressed heartfelt gratitude to IPP Rtn Kuldip for organizing and attending three blood
donation camps on 30th January, wherein 328 donors donated blood for the noble cause.
♦ Rtn Sanjay informed that Eye Check up Camp will be held under MG 73741 at RCC Khandalia on 5th Feb at 11 AM and requested the members to participate and supervise the screening camp.
♦ He updated about the upcoming club project and requested all the members to present during New School Dress distribution programme to be held on 26th Feb at 11 AM at the school premises of Behala Nabo Proyas, Behala. Rtn Rajendra Khandelwal consented to be the chief guest of the event.
♦ Rtn Sanjay requested the club members to take active participation in polio awareness visit on Sun 27th Feb at the 15 booths of KMC Ward No. 67.
♦ He updated about the 7th Board Meeting, which was scheduled to be held on 26th Feb, has been pre-poned to 25th Feb at 7 pm at the residence of Club Director Rtn Swati Bhattacharjee.
♦ President Sanjay discussed about the district programme “Chhelebela” and “International Cultural
Evening” scheduled to be held on 27th Feb and 19th Feb respectively and members present agreed unanimously to co host both the events.
♦ He also updated about the RCC Conference “Suchetana” 2011, which will be held on 12th & 13th
Feb. Sri Gobindo Kayal, President of RCC Khandalia along with two RCC members consented to participate in the said conference on behalf of the club.
♦ Club Treasurer CP Rtn Sanjit Chatterjee informed the members present that the Semi Annual dues for the
period Jan to June 2011 of all 26 active members have been remitted to RI in time and he extended thanks to all the members for payment of their dues in time.
♦ President Sanjay gave a token of appreciation to the members present for their on time payment of 2nd Half
Yly dues to the club.
♦ He updated the members that Club Attendance Report and Project Reports for GML for the month of Jan 2011 has been sent.
♦ Club business was carried out by Secretary Rtn Tapas.
♦ Rtn Tapas conveyed birthday and marriage anniversary wishes to club members and their relatives.
♦ He requested all the members to make a schedule for picnic on 12th & 13th Feb at Katwa along with family. Members were requested to give their confirmation to Club Secretary latest by 5th Feb to make pre
arrangement of logistics and comfortable stay and arrangement of sufficient quality food.
♦ He announced that there will be no RWM on Tue 8th Feb because of Saraswati Puja and next RWM will be held on 15th Feb 2011 at 7:00 pm at Hotel Metropole.
♦ Club statistics: Members present: 12, Anne 1
♦ Since there was no other business the meeting was terminated by the President.

CLUB PICNIC held on 12th & 13th Feb at Lal Bari, Katwa hosted by Rtn Dibyendu Mitra. Club Members Rtn Sanjay, Rtn Tapas and Anne Soma, IPP Kuldip and Anne Jasbir, Rtn Swati and Mr Tarun, Rtn Pulak, Rtn Dibyendu and Rtn Rathin along with three friends participated and enjoyed the picnic. Mrs Indrani Ghosh D/o Rtn Dibyendu Mitra along with her husband Swapan, daughter Chandrima and Sri Ramapriya S/o Rtn Athin Mitra played the perfect host and took care of all the needs of the club members and guests. The two day picnic was full of fun with delicious food and fellowship; the members enjoyed the evening playing housie and singing songs and Rabindra Sangeet. The hospitality of the Mitra family was appreciated by one and all.

RCC DISTRICT CONFERENCE “SUCHETNA” 2011 was attended by Sri Gobindo Prasad Kayal and two RCC Members at Rabindra Sarobar on 12th & 13th Feb 2011.
